A storm stops by all of a sudden. You rush to the balcony to watch - There have been so few storms this summer! Rains are blown all over the balcony. Above the river, high up in the woods, a new house with a white face and a dark red roof is near finishing up. How come you haven't noticed it the whole summer? When the storm is gone quickly, the house is gone too - The light is very strong from that direction.

You remember, a few days ago, in a rare gorgeous summer afternoon, on Barton Pond, a couple of turtles were daydreaming on a piece of wood, and didn't know the wood was drifting in whimsical winds and changed direction.

And in early spring, you saw, on a corner of the river, a duck dozed off comfortably under the sun, not aware the danger at all that the ice where he was resting his feet was quietly melting away.
