A thick green graces the northern
terrain. The air is damp. On a small winding road, I travel besides a
winding river. Thousands or millions have wheeled on this road before me. It
seems endless. Left turn. Right turn. Uphill. Downhill. Cattails. Poplars.
A harvested corn field. A discarded barn. A Rose-breasted Grossbeak. A Blue Jay. A few Turkey Vultures. A cry
from a pond. A frog or maybe a toad. Purple Phlox flowers here and there. A
field of Red Poppy and an old wooden house (it's rare to see red poppies
around here). The sun comes out. Alternating shades and lights. Then
thunders. Pouring rain. Blurry windshield. Only if I could unite all these
shapes, colors and fragments into a meaningful whole! Then, the road ahead
would be broader and brighter... Is it possible to do it by bringing humanity back to nature
and bringing science, philosophy and art together again (as the ancients
did) under a new overarching framework of CAS?
