In the Rain

In the rain

through the purple shade of my umbrella

I saw a sky, azure

the thin bodies of some tall plants

softly brushing over my legs, bared

with the vague sweetness from a wild flower field

sending gentle ripples to

the end of my long hair

A blue heron, standing still, under a bridge

its neck straight, body like a statue

could it be the incarnation of

that handsome young man

from the fairy land, waiting for his bride?

A rock, clam shaped

with a green fringe

embroidered by moss

its shells in the air, mouth open

drinking in raindrops with happiness

A little bird, bright yellow

flapping its unfledged wings

in front of me, almost hopping through

even the fish forgot danger

swinging on the very water edge

My body became weightless

floating, as if on the moon, but

fast as light

Somewhere, I heard music

arising,  as if from a stage,  behind curtain

No! It is from a stream running

through the blood vessels

in me

la la la la la la

la la la la la la
