While I was sitting at home pondering whether agent-based modeling can go beyond interestingness to make a real contribution to theory building or generate important insights that are convincing enough to influence policy making in the real world, garlic mustard plants have emerged everywhere along the river (despite all those ecological burns), and bloodroot flowers (some still enveloped by leaves) have opened up showing their little sunny faces in the woods. It's time to try a different lens.
