While watching a spectacular thunderstorm at National Gallery of Art, I discovered this bronze cast, standing there like a huge puzzle. Henry Moore, the artist, gave his works vague titles – he wanted the viewer to stop and ponder. He had definitely achieved his goal for I spent nearly forty minutes there. But I don’t think I fully comprehend it despite a suggestive form of bones. Mr. Moore might have tried to show even a massive (not necessarily physical) structure can be fragile and fall apart.
